The Bt1 is compatible with both iOS and Android devices, you can also stream from your favorite apps like Spotify, Pandora, Sirius XM and TuneIn Radio wirelessly. All you need to do is to simply connect the BT1 to an available optical or aux input on your stereo (using BT1’s included cables) and within minutes you’ll be streaming music from your Bluetooth-enabled smartphone or tablet.
You might want to ask this question!
Does BT1 support the AAC codec? I want to stream from iOS devices, which do not have aptX, and at least want the sound quality associated with support for AAC.
The answer is: Peachtree didn’t license the AAC codec for the BT1. In the group testing, it wasfound that there was virtually no difference between AAC and the standard A2DP SBC codec in this specific implementation.
BT1 is a Bluetooth 3.0 device. But, there aren’t any sound quality differences between 3.0 and 4.0. Most of 4.0’s new spec deals with low energy applications for wearables and other Bluetooth devices.
You can definitely use it in your car with a 5V/1.0A USB power adaptor. A USB power cable is included in the box.
Serious Audio Performance
The BT1 offers exceptional performance and is much more than a run-of-the-mill Bluetooth receiver. It utilizes the aptX® audio codec which allows Bluetooth to deliver the full bandwidth of music for outstanding audio quality. Moreover, unlike many typical Bluetooth receivers the BT1 uses a pure digital signal path and top-flight internal components like a Wolfson® DAC and a dual stage power supply to obtain the cleanest sound possible from Bluetooth.
Optimized Wireless Reception
Apart from its superior audible performance, the BT1 Bluetooth Receiver also provides an advantage over having Bluetooth built into your primary audio component. As it’s a stand-alone device, you can easily position the BT1 for optimum wireless reception. If you have kept your audio equipment hidden away inside a cabinet behind doors, you can place the BT1 out in the open for maximum wireless range.
The Perfect Partner
The BT1 can be used with any audio system, but it is the perfect partner for a Peachtree novaSE integrated amplifier. You can use the BT1’s included USB power cable to directly power the BT1 from the novaSE. In this setup, the BT1 will turn on and off in sync with your novaSE integrated amp.
