ABQMM-Harley-ABQ-600pxOn July 12 ListenUp held our Music Matters event New Mexico-style at our Albuquerque showroom. Nearly 100 people, including folks from as far away as San Diego, enjoyed informative demonstrations from our favorite vendors.

Robert Harley (shown in middle of the photo at right, Editor-in-Chief of The Absolute Sound, and author of The Complete Guide to High-End AudioIntroductory Guide to High-Performance Audio Systems and Home Theater for Everyone, was also on hand to sell and sign copies of his books and talk about the state of high-end audio.

Kevin Voecks, Acoustic Technologies Manager for Harman Luxury Audio Group, showed off the new Revel F228Be speakers in a surround-sound configuration with an Arcam AVR550 receiver.

Ron Cornelius, National Training Manager for McIntosh Group, was showing the new Sonus faber Homage Tradition Serafino speakers driven by McIntosh electronics.



Cambridge Audio’s National Sales Manager Bob Scranton (left) introduced the company’s new Edge series electronics, which include a preamp/streamer, amplifier and integrated amplifier. This cool new Cambridge gear was used to drive a pair of B&W 802 D3 speakers for a thoroughly engaging demo.



Focal National Sales Manager John Bevier (below) and Regional Sales Manager Matt Reilly (not shown) took attendees for a thrill-ride  with the new Maestro Utopia speakers, which were driven by MOON Evolution electronics (that’s MOON’s Bernard Poulin in the right of the photo below). Also on display was the new MOON 390 preamp/streamer/DAV.
