With ListenUp since 2013
With the exception of a few college years, ListenUp Store Manager Sean Pierce has lived in Albuquerque his entire life, so he definitely knows the territory. And though he’s new to the A/V industry, he has exactly the kind of customer service experience that dovetails nicely with ListenUp’s philosophy.
“The A/V business is always changing and always entertaining,” says Sean. “We stay ahead of the technology curve, and it’s exciting to work on the cutting edge. For example, we recently installed an ultimate man-cave for the sports addict. It’s got SEVEN huge TVs in one room with a ton of McIntosh and B&W gear. Naturally, it’s all tied together with a control system for hassle-free viewing. Very cool.”
Sean has been married since 2003, and he and his wife have two little girls and a new baby boy. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and brewing craft beer.
With Hudson's/ListenUp since 2004
Originally from New Mexico, Shawn Mills got his start in the A/V industry more than 30 years ago after moving to Phoenix, Arizona. In 1991, he and wife, Brandy, along with their two-year-old daughter, relocated back to Albuquerque where he worked as an installer for a local A/V company. Shawn quickly grew from installer to a sales position and stayed with the company for 11 years.
Shawn ventured out to try his hand in a different line of work in 2002, but quickly returned to the A/V industry and opened his own custom installation business in 2003. “My passion for the industry and my loyal customers wouldn't let me stay away from it.” In 2004, he partnered with Jeff Johnson of Hudson’s Audio and “brought experience in custom home audio video installations, which helped to dramatically increase sales and profitability.” He eventually purchased the business from Jeff in 2007 and Hudson’s joined the ListenUp family in 2011.
Today, Shawn is still with ListenUp in a sales role “taking care of ListenUp’s customers’ needs, large and small.” Shawn holds CEDIA ESIII and Designer certifications, as well as the title of Class B Skeet Champion in New Mexico. When he’s not providing top-notch customer service, Shawn can be found singing in an ‘80s tribute band and spending time with his family.

Albuquerque native Dave Heintzleman manages all our inventory and does minor in-house repairs. Before coming to the A/V world he worked in the film industry as a steadicam and occasional boom operator. In his spare time he writes and records music and collects mixers, guitars, tube amps, and synthesizers.
“I’m a two-channel guy through and through,” Dave says. “I love the fact that part of my job involves setting up, listening to, and working with top-notch, high quality gear.
Dave has been married since 2008 to his lovely wife Jessica, and they have one naughty young son.

Another native of New Mexico, Orlando Sanchez is used to running things – from restaurants to races. He came to ListenUp after being the general manager for several different eateries in Albuquerque, and in his spare time he’s an avid trail runner with a particular interest in military-style mud runs. In his time at ListenUp he’s become an avid home entertainment enthusiast, as well.
“I enjoy working with all the equipment we have here in the store,” says Orlando. “It’s fun to hear new music and in ways I haven’t heard it before. I’ve always been a fan of music, and it’s really great to discover products that can make it sound so much better —and to bring that sense of discovery to our customers, too… I like working at ListenUp because it has all the feel of a big company yet with the ‘family’ essence you get from a small company.”
Employee Since 2011
Jason Weisberg has worked in plastics, real estate, printing, lasers, property development, auto repair, computer technical support, landscaping, as a lifeguard, and even as a model builder for the U.S. Air Force. To say he’s done it all is an understatement!
For someone who loves working in new and changing fields, ListenUp is the perfect fit for Jason’s many talents. “I came to ListenUp in 2011 because I enjoy knowing what the latest cool thing in home automation is.” Aside from the ever-changing product assortment, the job of an installer is anything but routine. Jason works on home installation projects around the Albuquerque metro area, ranging from a single television installation to pre-wiring a new home build.
After growing up in Colorado, Jason moved to New Mexico to pursue a mechanical engineering degree. In his free time he likes to build models, repair electronics and scour the desert with his metal detector.
