Day 1 Recap – New Products

Rocky Mountain Audio Fest kicked off yesterday to the public and was chock full of all the Hi-Fi we could want.

We saw brand new releases announced at RMAF from Cambridge Audio, Polk Audio, Sonus faber, and AudioQuest.

Sonus faber announced their new Olympica Nova Collection at RMAF and they are a gorgeous combination of craftsmanship and performance. The asymmetrical shape of the cabinet is an original design concept that allows versatile positioning of the speakers to tune the bass response in any room.
Inspired by nature, the lines follow the flow of a circular spiral motion, achieving a more organic cabinet structure.
No longer just a functional element added to handle airflow, the reflex duct is now fully integrated into the cabinet, further improving the speed and transparency of sound.

Cambridge announced their new CX Series that looks as good as it sounds, and the new Alva TT turntable with Bluetooth.

The Alva TT turntable has Bluetooth aptX HD for wireless Hi-Res streaming, a built-in Phonostage to keep setup simple, direct drive to maintain consistent drive speed for pitch-perfect audio reproduction. Not to mention, it looks sleek and sounds amazing.

The CXA60, a 60-watt amplifier that has been awarded What Hi-Fi?’s ‘Best Stereo Amplifier’ two years running. With those 60 watts of power comes 4 analog, 3 digital and optional Bluetooth inputs.

The CXA80 amplifier adds 20 more amps of power totaling 80-watts of pure precision and provides a vivid soundstage. The addition of balanced inputs and USB connectivity for your computer-based music library offers the solution for every source.

The CXR120 gives your movies an unprecedented audio experience with every piece of dialogue. The built-in, award-winning StreamMagic streaming module provides wireless access to your complete digital library, Spotify Connect, and internet radio.

The CXR200 the most powerful home cinema amplifier Cambridge ever made. The CXR200 is an audiophile’s hi-fi, a movie buff’s AVR, and a music lover’s digital streamer in a box, but it has twice the power and added zone 2 functionality. It delivers a huge home cinema presence to the largest of rooms or even two.

The CXUHD is Cambridge Audio’s first ever UHD Player offering stunning 4K resolution. Designed without DACs for noise reduction and improved audio and picture quality. The CXUHD supports the latest in 4K technologies including UHD discs, HDR and Dolby Vision.

The CXN (V2) offers the ultimate in digital convenience and quality and further refines the seamless digital music experience. A faster processor opens up new possibilities, giving you a richer internet radio experience, a greater level of playback control and Chromecast built-in.

The CXC is designed specifically to do one thing only: spins CDs with perfect precision to retrieve the audio data so you can hear things that you’ve never heard before in tracks you’ve heard 100 times. Thanks to its all-digital outputs it works in perfect harmony with our CXA60 and CXA80 integrated amplifiers.

The components in the CS Series range in price from $449.99 to $1,999.99.
