Never mind that the Winter Olympics opening ceremony will be on Feb. 12: NBC’s Dave Mazza has been competing at an Olympic level for nearly two years, preparing for the first all-HD Winter Games. Mazza told TVTechnology.com that he’s been overseeing a 30-person crew of engineers and project managers at NBC’s main studio at the International Broadcast Centre on the Vancouver waterfront, as well as live broadcast positions at most of the downtown venues and ski slopes.
