You’ve almost made it to the holiday weekend:  So what are you going to do with that extra day? Might be a good time to kick back and watch a movie, or track down some new music. Some suggestions:

Home Video: This week’s newBlu-ray releases include the high-tech romance The Time Traveler’s Wife, the Vince Vaughn comedy Couple’s Retreat, and a Blu-ray reissue of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Running Man from 1987.

New Music: It’s been seven years since Sade’s last album, but the sultry pop singer’s return on Soldier of Love has stirred up excitement. Allison Moorer may have started in country, but her latest album, Crows, confirms that country is out and rock is in for her. Massive Attack returns with yet another distinctly different musical vision, Heligoland, mixing indie rock, jazz, trip hop and more. The Lost Tapes from Big Brother and the Holding Company is 26 tracks, some previously unreleased and others that have been on bootlegs.
