bestOfCesThe Viera line of plasma flat-screen TVs already is considered top of the line, but that hasn’t stopped Panasonic from continuing to innovate. At the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas the company’s VT25, which delivers Full HD 3D, not only earned “Best TV” honors from CNET, it also earned “Best in Show.” There’s more: Panasonic’s 3D Blu-Ray Disc Player was a finalist in the Home Theater category for best in show.

The VT25, expected to arrive in stores by spring, also will include a pair of 3D glasses that employ an active LC shutter system. The right and left lens in the glasses alternately darkens and lightens, too quickly to perceive, while the TV synchronously displays the corresponding right- and left-eye-specific images.
