There are some who suggest that the arrival of 3D viewing at home won’t happen soon because consumers are just catching up with the current wave, High Definition TV. Really? Perhaps they should consider a new study from Opinon Research Corporation, which found that nearly two-thirds of U.S. households ALREADY have an HDTV, and another 12 percent are looking to purchase one in the next two years. But even ORC isn’t willing to annoint 3D the next big thing: the study also found only five percent of survey respondents said they plan to buy a 3D-capable television in the next two years.
