More than 3.3 million Blu-ray Disc players shipped to dealers through the first three quarters of 2009, a 13 percent hike over the same period last year. Blu-ray software sales showed a bigger increase: up 83 percent for the year, according to figures gathered for the Digital Entertainment Group.
