Separates with a system approach
The NHT Controller is more than a single component, it’s the powerful hub of the NHT complete system approach – a system which acts as one thought, because NHT components interact with each other and adjust to specific needs of each other and the NHT speakers.

The amazing new NHT Controller can, of course, work beautifully with just about any amplifier or speakers, but if you team it with the Power5 amplifier and NHT speakers you’ll enjoy a high-performance system that’s even great than the sum of its formidable parts.

NHT decided to think about component networking and connection in a whole new way, so they created NHTBus, an Ethernet-based communication pipe which allows a clean, unhindered interplay between NHT components. Connecting the Controller to an NHT amplifier using the NHTBus offers intelligent operation of the whole system, monitoring of amplifier status, amplifier control-on/standby/mute, and control of individual channel operation-on/off. Under the educated mind of the Controller, subtle signals are automatically adjusted, directed and managed, resulting in sound that’s simply sublime.

Stylishly clean lines and easy operation
This 7.1-channel preamp/processor, which comes with HDMI interface, dispenses with buttons and knobs, instead relying on a Q Wheel and Q Touch touch-sensitive design for system control. The unique interface delivers intuitive operation and uncluttered and easy-to-read function displays. To limit distractions during viewing, LED graphics power down, only to "wake up" when you wave a hand in front of the component. The Controller also includes all input video up-conversion up to component video, setup on-screen display (OSD) on all video outputs, FM/AM RDS Tuner, Setup wizard and HDMI 1.1 audio support for receiving Dolby Digital, DTS and two-channel PCM via HDMI.

Add NHT speakers for even more cohesive sound
Again, NHT’s electronics can work with any speakers. However, if you use them with NHT speakers, the Controller’s built-in DSP engine automatically sets equalization, phase, and low- and high-pass filters for the specific NHT speaker and subwoofer combination you are using. This not only makes for optimized sound, it’s also a snap to set up.
