Denon’s brand-new AVR-2808CI, the eagerly anticipated successor to the coveted AVR-2807, improves on the previous model with HDMI 1.3 compatibility and other advancements. HDMI 1.3 passes a full 1080p video signal, with 36-bit Deep Color for unsurpassed color reproduction on compatible TVs. Also supported are the new Dolby TrueHD and dts-HD Master Audio surround-sound formats now available on Blu-ray and HD DVD high-definition discs. Another benefit of HDMI 1.3 is the Auto Sync feature, which corrects time discrepancies between the video and audio signals (that annoying delay that sometimes makes your movies feel like a poorly dubbed Kung-Fu flick).

Your existing 480p DVD collection will look better than ever with 1080p scaling provided by Faroudja’s industry-standard-setting DCDi chip. For your digital music collection, the Music Enhancer feature uses sophisticated algorithms to beef up the sound of songs that have been saved in compressed formats such as Mp3 and WMA.

Another great feature is Audyssey MultEQ XT audio set-up, which tailors the receiver’s settings for your room’s specific acoustics from six different seating positions! Room acoustics are an integral but often overlooked facet of your system’s performance, and the Audyssey audio set-up ensures that your components are operating as they should.

The AVR-2808CI is also XM Radio-ready and “Mini-Tuner” compatible — with the XM Mini-Tuner and the proper dock, you can enjoy XM using your home audio system's buttons, knobs and display).

Multi-zone, multi-source capability
With 3-source/3-zone capability and an additional remote control included, the 2808CI can easily be the centerpiece of your multi-room system. The RS-232 port allows integration with Denon’s new two-way remote and RF/IR base station as well as third-party remote controllers.

Two independent transformers fuel seven channels of 110WPC amplification, so you’ll have more than enough pristine power to feed even the most demanding speakers. Denon’s AL24+ processing reproduces low-level signals with optimum clarity to bring out all the delicate nuances of your music.
