While HDMI connections offer the possibility of superior performance, all cables are not created equal – the picture and the sound can be compromised by cables with lesser build quality. The AudioQuest/CinemaQuest HDMI-X is an affordble high-performance cable that uses large 1.25% silver conductors to enhance signal transfer.

Foamed and solid High-Density Polyethylene are used to minimize loss caused by insulation, and to insure critical geometry stability. Two RF Stoppers prevent interference problems from RFI (radio frequency interference) and EMI (electromagnetic interference).

The relationship between HDMI and DVI
Both HDMI and DVI-D cables transmit the same uncompressed digital video signal. The only two differences are: 1) The connectors are different, and 2) HDMI cables are capable of digital audio, whereas DVI-D is video only.

AudioQuest premium quality adaptors, from DVI-D to HDMI or from HDMI to DVI-D, allow either HDMI or DVI-D cable to be used with any equipment. Both HDMI and DVI-D cables can carry digital audio, but only HDMI equipment can send or receive digital audio.

A length for any installation
HDMI-X is available in a braided jacket in lengths of 1M, 2M, 3M and 4M, and also available in an off-white PVC CL-3 rated jacket in various lengths from 3m to 20M.
